This is unbelievable. Another great man to pass this week.  He will be missed as well.

Just a few months ago I saw him (on DVD) in his production of "Hoover".  One man show... Ernie delivered the goods and then some in this show.  He also wrote a book not too long ago.... lots of great Hollywood movie and TV memories he put within those pages.

I grew up watching McHale's Navy.  Loved that show.  Rest in peace, Commander.

 error from smart phone.

I hate smart phones.  I have another name for them and it is not "smart".

yes i loved to watch mchale's navy sorry to hear about his passing he also was a great actor rest in  peace sir!!

Having a little trouble here seeing, All I was able to see in kathy's thread was...

"This is unbelievable. Another great man to pass this week.  He will be missed as well".

there were no mention of Ernest Borgnine buy yet two replies mention him. Do my settings need adjusted?

I am having the same issue, just figured Count Istvan Telekey must be possessing my computer. :)

She mentioned "Ernie" in her post.

Disregard my last post.  Albert posted that not Kathy Jo.

I loved him in Little House and The Poseidon Adventure. Was he in TAGS? I know he was a guest at George Lindsey's film festival. As far as I'm concerned, that's enough to start a thread for him. Sad to see another good 'un go.

Yes, it is sad to see.  No, I could not find where he had guest starred on TAGS unfortunately.  He would have been a good character for the town.  I did, however, find an inspiring article from him on Guideposts while reading the article from Mr. Griffith that was mentioned in Allan's newsgroup.

Just prior to George Lindsey's memorial service, at the visitation, they showed a heartfelt and moving video tribute from Ernest Borgnine to George.  He obviously wasn't able to travel for the memorial, but he and George were best of friends.  This is brought out in George's book, "Goober in a Nutshell."
