Besides some sour grapes concerning the cable channels that keep showing the same 'sodes ad nauseum, I'm fed up with even trying to tune in, I also have observations:
1---In Mayberry on Record, how absurd that the man uses a Webcor tape recorder just like ordinary people may have had in their home, When you try to tape in a common room like he did, you get all sorts of interference noise. Just silly that he was supposedly making records in such a slip shod way.
2---In Barney's Replacement, Barney gets bent out of shape over losing his job to the man who obviously was only on board temporarily, and was an attorney who surely would not even consider taking a deputy position, giving up his professional legal career.
And how did Aunt Bee get to the dump?
The old car thing again. So in Opie's Newspaper, how did Andy get there? Barney arrived first. And and and Keevy, should I bring up again about how Aunt Bea apparently left Opie at home alone?
Andy thought that Barney bought an army tank and was driving it back to Mayberry! “Tanks a lot Andy” for that unbelievable thinking of yours!
Opie falls in love with formerly ‘old lady’ Crump.
Near the end in The Manhunt, I just can’t get over Andy letting Opie come to a situation where there was potential for gunplay.
I already "replied" although it was here, then disappeared.
My "add" is about going to the dump, happened in at least two shows. Admittedly there is no garbage there, anything wet-sloppy, but still.... Barney wears his uniform and Andy is dressed as if going to dinner at Morelli's. No one wears gloves. More business for Fred Goss.
Yeah, Bernie, Opie was in charge of giving directions to the lake area.
When that woman stays with the Taylors after she broke up with her boyfriend. Do people actually do this?
Another good example of what this thread is about. Does seem contrived. Maybe it's harder than we think having to come up with shows for so many seasons.
Opie could have just as easily quit the delivery job at the grocery store rather than being fired. He had to face the music with Andy when there was no need to.
Malcom Tucker wasn’t charged with grand theft auto and was left with only a warning.
And he passed up Aunt Bee’s fried chicken after eating nothing all day and walking so far! He didn’t get the physique he had by passing up meals!
