Just watched the ME-TV episode about the Mayberry High reunion. The very end scene was Andy and Barney singing the school song one more time and having a discussion after. I do not recall ever seeing that ending, probably a result of all the editing for commercials at other times. Interseting to see it.

Every now and then I see an epilogue I don't remember and even more often a prologue.  I think I was probably dashing in, drying my dish-pan hands, as the show started and so missed the beginning.

The networks do cut the epilogues a lot and that's often the biggest laugh of all.

Stink bugs.

Money grubbing spinsters they are!

If you subscribe to Netflix you get the whole show (all 28 mins.) with the missing segments that were cropped out for more commercial time.  The best way to watch TAGS by far. You'll see a lot of things you've never seen if you're watching it on ME TV or other cable channel.

Amazon Prime also has it on Amazon Video.  If you already subscribe to Amazon for the shipping you may as well watch all of the entire TAGS episodes.  That is what I do, so many great scenes that I have not seen, probably since the original airing.  Love it.

Paramount has a DVD series they sold around 12 years ago. I have Seasons 1-6. They not only have the full, unedited episodes - but they also have the original sponsor spots like Post Corn Flakes, Sanka, and Jello Pudding. The sponsor spots were short skits based on the particular episode they followed. VERY interesting to see those...since I'm a few years too young (52) to have seen the original network episodes.

I love that night scene with Andy and Barn pulling up in the Edsel.
