With the news of Andy's passing, for which I too shed a few tears this morning, I'm back to an old quest that's haunted me for years.
We all know about the infamous JL-327 tag number for the squad car for all episodes but one, however there was another vehicle at some point that had that tag. It wasn't "Aunt Bee learns to drive" or Barney's car he bought from Mrs. Lesh........but I know I saw it somewhere.
Can anybody help?
RIP Andy.

How about the glaring discrepancy regarding the Courthouse all thru Season 1 ?
Anybody? Or am I in the wrong place?

Your glaring discrepancy from Season One was the fact that from the outside, the courthouse had a window over by the barber shop, but from the inside there was no window. This was obviously corrected for Season Two.

Still looking for the JL-327 answer. My youtube guy that had so well listed all episodes got shut down by CBS, copyright issues. So I'm back to square one.
I could have sworn I saw the tag on one of Aunt Bee's driving episodes. But can't find it.

Maybe they used JL-327 on a different vehicle in the early part of season one since DC-269 was used on the squad car in three different episodes around that time. Ellie Comes to Town (4), Andy the Matchmaker (7) and Opie's Charity (8). They seemed to switch plates back and forth early but then stuck with JL-327. I also know DC-269 was used on different cars later on too.
