During the show actual (real) people were mentioned. I believe there is a list somewhere but I can't find it. So under this topic list the real person and the episode if you know it.
I'll start with Glenn Ford in "The Bank Job"
I know there are lots of others.
Since my memory is reduced to faulty synapses, I'm making my answers in question form:
When Emmet's wife and Aunt Bee are going to the movies together they expect it to be good because it stars, ___ ____.
It's either Greer Garson or Irene Dunne, I always mix them up.
Can't forget Cary Grant on account a Goober takes off on him so well..'Judy, Judy, Judy'. Then there's his rendition of Edward G. Robinson 'Okay you guys, alright you guys, let's go you guys'. And... he can walk like Chester. What a plethora or theatrical talent in that young man.
And also the movie poster stating "Gary Grant"in the Fun Girls episode - a nice find by Col Harv.
Einstein was mentioned one time. I think Andy said Einstein was a dropout and Barney replied I wonder how smart he'd have been if he graduated.
Black Jack Pershing was mentioned when Andy read the plaque he planted in Barney's motorcycle. I guess Corporal Nate Jackson was a real person too.
Can't remember who right now but when on tour bus in Hollywood they stepped on somebody's grass to take a newspaper and the maid yelled at them. Who's paper was it?
I think it was Cesar Romero's paper.
you got it Ace!
When Barney told Andy the story in the black and whites, he mentioned they were standing on Gary Cooper's Lawn. I'm not sure whose lawn they stood on in the color 'Hollywood Visit'
