And and and TAGS had too much sireen. If it ain't an emergency, no lights and siren. Even the so-called state police ( North Carolina has no state police, just highway patrol ) were flashy and noisy simply driving into town to use the Mayberry Jail for a meeting. Like Barney was guilty of, and also that real jerk visiting the Taylor's, playing with the siren as if it were a new toy.
