One of the things I love most about TAGS is that I laugh and I cry.

Name a scene that has made you cry:

for me, I shed a tear every single time I watch the bed jacket episode when Andy explains to Opie about how Ole Eagle Eye Annie is still giving him pleasure even after he sold it to the Mayor.

The bed jacket scene is my favorite tear jerker, too, Michael.

Another one that always mists me up a little is the Christmas episode.  I start sniffling when Mr. Weaver looks in the court house window and keep it up while the kids are opening his presents and Ellie gets him food and drink.

That whole episode makes me "cry" if I have to watch it.  There are only a few episodes that I just skip, and this is one.   So out of character for all involved.  What adult gets that wound up over a birthday.  I outgrew expecting a birthday gift when I was about 10 when I discovered everyone has one.

The pickle story and the new housekeeper are two others I try not to watch, plus all the color eps.

I do enjoy some of the "Andy/Opie wisdoms" they share at times.

Interesting. Maybe this thread will morph into a least favorite episode discussion. If I had to pick one out it would be Baby In The House, from season six. I really, really find that one annoying and very difficult to watch.

I'm sorry,  it was not my intent to hi-jack the thread.

Mayberry is full of heart-warming events, that is why we go there often.  Heaven knows we need more Mayberry lessons in the world today.

In the one about the baby birds I tear up bigtime when Andy tells Opie:  "But don't the trees seem nice and full?"

I can't say I cry but maybe choke up a bit on this.

In "Opie and the Bully" when Opie comes into Andy's bedroom and says "You sure you didn't even feel it?" Then Andy lifts Opie and gives him a big father/son hug knowing he has to let Opie stand up and take care of this on his own.

That is a good one, Dave.
The ending of Opie's Charity is my pick!
