I think we may have done this before--but if so, it's worth repeating. I was watching the episode today (twice) where Peggy's old lab partner, the Hungry Buzzard, shows up, Andy storms off, and Barney tries to comfort him.
This is one of the greatest episodes, for many reasons, one of them being Barney's tendency to mispronounce words. He gets so close--"So Near And Yet So Far." It's hilarious.
In this case, it's "therapetic." He must say it at least ten times! Let's list as many of Barney's near-misses as we can. Also, erroneous beliefs held by Barney--and anything else related to him that you want to post. Should be fun.
"Haven't you ever heard of a person with a compelsion complex?" haha!!
That there Smith Brothers Institution up in Washington DC
Baked Alaska................That new dessert sence it become a state.
We dont even have a heely-copter
"From the minute they're born with that silver spoon in their hand."
"My voice was surgin' outta' my body like that waterfall up in Rochester New York."
His belief that a high golf score is better than a low one.
Sigmund Frude would have thought he was pretty nave, and probably had him put in that Smith Brothers Institution.
Don't forget about those electronal marvels!
According to Barney people got inarculated not incarcerated.
"Those are your true schizophreniacs!"
Barney to Andy when confronted by The Fun Girl's large, angry boyfriend:
"Yeah, what are you going to do about it?"
(Followed by Barn being lifted into the air by said boyfriend, noise of a scuffle, sound of blows being struck, and Barney: "Don't look, girls!")
extra-sensitive perception....for ESP
I think Barney's choice of an anniversary gift for his parents may not have been a hit out of the park (So Near and Yet So Far). A septic tank! "Something they can use," in the words of the immortal Barney Fife.
A: "You're a good son Barn!"
B: "I try"
Great conversation!! :)
