Just watched this one again, and wow, Peggy was so cute!! So was Mary and Ellie...Wasn't that fond of Karen, Thelma Lou's cousin...Just don'y think that Helen holds a candle to Ellie, Peggy or Mary, in personality or looks..lol Guess Andy was OK with it...

Like Andy did, Helen liked being a big fish in a small pond....

....up until Andy finally left a became a U.S. postal inspector in Cleveland. (isn't that where he went and later retired from?) There he was a medium sized fish in a medium sized pond.

Helen was good for Andy, and Andy was good for her.

In the RFD episode "Andy's Baby" (2nd season opener) Andy and Helen are living in Charlotte, where he's a State Investigator.

It's in RETURN TO MAYBERRY (1986) that we learn that he's left a postal inspector job in Cleveland to come back and run for Sheriff.

Thanx, Brent!!

I agree, Peg was quite the looker...but Andy & Helen were like bread & butter; a perfect match!
