I believe there was an old discussion of this nature, but it is probably buried a bit, so I will start a new one. What are some things you wonder about?

I wonder what the "T" in Ernest T. Bass stands for?

Why did Virgil goof up on polishing the jail key? He was, after all, working alone.

I too have wondered that same thing.  

Why did Virgil run the squad car through the garage??? He was driving all alone.  

I guess at that point his only good "alone" work was making those little toy figures. Andy had to bring him to the next level with his little pep talk.  

I've wondered why the school principal called Aunt Bee when Opie handcuffed Ralph Baker to the flag pole.  The logical place to call would have been the Sheriff's Office.  

According to the Season 8 population sign, Mayberry had a population of 5,360.

How is that Sarah always was able to handle all those calls without delay? 

With all the party lines they had in that town it's no wonder that the Mendelbright sisters clogged the phone system every Sunday.

At the end of Opie’s Newspaper, I wonder how Aunt Bee got to the town dump, and so quickly.

She most likely pulled a Marty McFly and "scrunched" down on her skateboard while holding the bumper of the patrol car.

That’s something to picture in my head!

Hee hee! A bird in this world!

I wonder how, if there was a back door cut in the bank vault, Barney got locked in while posing at Mrs. McGruder's cousin.
