Anyone for sulfa powdah? ;-)
I am guessing it is an episode where Barney mentions foot powder? Barney would mention such a thing.
Barney walks into the drug store while Ellie is chewing out Andy. She asks Barney to take her to the dance. Barney says, "I just came in here for some foot powder."
You got it.
The ep, 'A Trip To Mexico' would also qualify. In Aunt Bee's letter to Andy and Opie, she mentions Myrtle visited a "pharmacia" to purchase foot powder. Howard was impressed, saying, "Wow, a real Mexican pharmacia. That's something not many people get to experience."
Aunt Bee the Warden?
"I'll take the Mr. Potato set."
For sure I would have picked that too since it was the only episode with a Mr. Potato Head, and that talking potato sort of looks like Mr. PH. But that is not the one. In the episode I am referring to, someone "hears potatoes". I know that sounds a bit strange. They actually refer to the potatoes they hear. Or more specifically, the type of potatoes they like to hear.
Wow, I thought you were right, Bobby, because that's what I thought too. One of the Gordon boys said he'd take the mister potato set. Then they ended up escaping when one of em made a key out of the metal craft set.
But now I think I know it Mayor. It was when Barney said: "Now thems the kinda potatas I was hopin I'd hear from you Andy." Andy was leaving town and he was putting Barney in charge for eight measley little old hours. Season one, but can't place the episode. Sheriff for a Day?
Yea, the “Talking Potato” made me question my guess Franklin, but I think you got it. I remember the quote but don’t recall the episode.
Yes, Franklin, that's it! Every time I hear that phrase in that episode I think of talking potatoes. It is probably a common expression in some parts, but I never heard it anywhere except in "Andy Saves Barney's Morale" (where Barney is Sheriff for the day).
