Hey there,
I noticed that Joanna McNeil was only on TAGS once. Does anyone know what happened to her after her appearance in that episode? It was a significant part and I thought she did well. Maybe she was a friend of someone on the show and they just gave her a part as a friendly gesture.
I have looked on the internet high and low and it seems she dropped out of sight.
Maybe some of you vets have some insight.
I was thinking a name change or maybe a one time experience as an actress on the tube.

Appreciate your wisdom and help.

I have searched and searched...and asked several really "in-the-know Mayberry trivia buffs, but no luck finding any answers. Anybody else got anything?
I was thinking maybe a writer or Ron H or maybe Betty Lynn might know. It is interesting that she has only one professional act of her entire career. No record of birth or other information.

Lost like Jimmy Hoffa. Remember, Helen had those mob ties in KC.

Oh, that's right!  Wait until the school board gets wind of this.  Of course, it is hard to find good teachers, so they might have to overlook these little indiscretions.

Mystery solved!

I would love to know what happened to her. She was among my favorites as far as "Andy's Love Interests" are concerned!

She seems to be one of those people who had no previous acting experiences nor since she was on the TAGS.

I still think that she was a friend of someone on the show and she had a one time part.

Usually, the internet is pretty good at following people and yet this was back in the 60's

Someone would have to have access to a script or something of that nature.

I am really stumped.  She would be in her 80's, I would imagine.

With a little encouragement from Andy, I think Alice would shoo Howard away and get rid of Helen by any means available to her.  Howard would be brushing and flossing his teeth til the bristles fell out of his electric toothbrush!  This chick was a desperate hunter after Mayberry's finest quarry!

Andy has very high morals (or nerves of steel.) That's twice he had very attractive women treed alone out in the woods (Flora was the other,) and didn't take advantage of the situation. Would we expect anything less, though?

You're right, Keevy!  There were a few others.  Remember the prisoner played by Susan Oliver!  Good old Skippy!  Then there was Mavis Neff!  And Gloria planted a kiss right dead on Andy's mouth!

Some guys got it and some guys ain't.
