I'm trying to remember that name of the episode where Andy comes in and once again finds Barney sleeping in the back room of the courthouse. He switches out Barneys hat for a larger one and when he wakes barney up, Barney comes out wearing it! LOL Which episode was it! I'm ashamed to say I cannot recall!

I can't remember this particular episode but all those times Andy caught Barney sleeping were hilarious.  Remember, one time Andy took Barn's shoes and put them in the desk drawer.  Those skirmishes usually resulted in one of Barney's famous, "Why Don't You," comments.  ("Why don't you grease the steps at the Old Folks Home--you're real funny, you are!")

I believe that was "The Clubmen" where they went up to the Esquire Club.

That was " The Lucky Letter ".............He switched Barney's shoes in " The Clubmen "

Thanks!

Another time Andy took Barney's shoes, and I can't remember that episode either.

Larry nailed it in the response above..."the Lucky Letter." Thanks Larry!

I LIKE THE TIME ANDY CATCHES OLE BARN ASLEEP AND COVERS HIM WITH THE "EXTRA LARGE" BLANKET PLACING THE EDGES UNDER THE BED LEGS.

This may or may not relate to the topic--but do ya'll remember when the fish wound up in the desk drawer?  Did that have anything to do with Barney napping?  All I remember is (I think) the new mayor reaching in the desk drawer and pulling out--a fish!  SOOO funny!

Had nothing to do with Barney napping .Opie brought the fish into the office.

That's a classic moment!  Thanks, Larry.

Mayor Stoner must have learned to start carrying his own pens/pencils after that "fish in the drawer" incident...because in most episodes afterward, he carried several pens/pencils in his jacket COAT pocket.
