Information

Chapel & Mayberry Bible Study

Visit the chapel for comfort, support, and prayer. Your Mayberry friends will join you and lift up your concerns. This is not an area for random talk but rather for quiet reflection.

We will also use this area for discussion of the Mayberry Bible Study to include the podcast version of the study.

The Mayberry Bible Study Podcast is based on the Mayberry Bible Study originated by Joey Fann back in 1998.

Host Allan Newsome will be visiting episodes of The Andy Griffith Show and exploring how characters from The Andy Griffith Showbehave.  Does their behavior reflect poorly or positively, from a Christian perspective, on their character.

The podcast will be released monthly. We will listen to an episode of The Andy Griffith Show and then discuss what we might learn. The podcast will focus on the 16 public domain episodes of The Andy Griffith Showbecause we want to show good character and no break copyright law as we study what the Bible teaches.

We hope you’ll join us for some Mayberry fun, prayer, and learn a little along the way.

I would like to ask my Chapel friends for prayer tonight. God knows the situation and I would appreciate you lifting me and my family up to God in prayer. Thanks and God bless.

I must share an update with my prayer request. This is probably the very first time that I have actually sought God's Will for my life delingently. My prayer has been answer. Everyone at my fleamarket knew how much I wanted to move to Mt. Airy, however, they also knew how undecided I was in choosing where I wanted to go. I was at the flea market on the 24th of last month and Mary the owner had asked me if I was still going to Mt.Airy and when my response was that I was still praying about it and wanted to go where God wanted me to go. Then she told me about a lady (Francis) that came in day she worked at a furniture store and during their conversation Francis mentioned they owned a Christian Campground! I called and spoke with her and she had one space left and the cost was $300 a month for everything but tv. She said she would hold it for me. I went out yesterday and paid for my space and wow! I had driven thru the campground but didn't go in last month. It is on a beautiful lake. they have a petting zoo lol and church groups out there all the time. It was a wonderfull feeling and I had to share my prayer request with her and all about my imayberry.com family and how you had given me scriptures and guidance and I truly appreciate all of you and was sad when i couldn't make it to mayberry days.

Mary told me if I had said I wanted to still go to Mt. Airy she was not going to tell me about the campground. It just shows how God can work in our lives.

ps. the name of the campground is A Taste of Heaven and it is in Newton Grove, NC.
