Wow.... I didn't realize that I hadn't been posting things here about Two Chairs No Waiting episodes. It has been a year since I posted on the group but I have been posting on the main page of the iMayberryCommunity. I hope you folks have been seeing those posts and I try and do better here. :-)

SPECIAL LIVE SHOW RECORDING TIME/DATE for this weeks TCNW  (and next week too)

Christmas, activities, events....they're getting in the way of our Mayberry Fun so rather than not having episodes, I'm shifting the recording time to Sunday nights for the next two weeks.

Recording episode 216 of Two Chairs No Waiting at 9pm ET  Sunday night (16 Dec 2012)!

Join us in the chat room and watch the show live. http://live.TwoChairsNoWaiting.com/

Be watching for a change to the News Years Eve "scheduled" recording as well because I'll be moving it to another time.   We should be back on schedule for the Jan 7th episode.

Sorry for all the changes and missing a couple of weeks.  This time of year is very busy in Mayberry. :)

Oh My Dear...I did get the  notifications. I just don't know where my head was when I got them. I was watching these three young men looking for ghosts and I simply lost track of time. I will absolutely put it on my calendar.

Hey Cheryl,

Yes, there was a live show on Monday.  I sent out an e-mail from here at the iMayberry Community mentioning it and I posted it here on the site on that afternoon.  I'm sorry you missed it.  You'll have to drop by the web site and listen to episode.

By the way, Allan, I sure am enjoying the latest episodes of TCNW. I really don't know how you manage to come up with so much food for thought every week! And then pack it all into a 15-20 minute podcast! Although I'm sure the support and encouragement of these other fine folks here in Mayberry doesn't hurt. ;)

Lurene Tuttle And Me—We Go Way Back!
You folks are not gonna believe this, (and I don't know much) but I've been familiar with Lurene Tuttle since I was 13 years old back in 1977. Here's how: I was an old-time radio fanatic by the time I was in 2nd grade, and by the time I heard an episode of "Pat Novak For Hire" entitled "Father Leahy" from 1949, starring Jack Webb and Raymund Burr, I was a six-year student of OTR trivia, and very much into the details.

I knew very shortly after listening to my tape recording of this broadcast several (dozen?) times that the actress playing Norma Feldman was none other than Lurene Tuttle. She was quite impressive as a radio performer and very much in demand. I made this connection the next time I saw the TAGS episode "The Shoplifters."

I did not know until today, however, that Parley Baer was also in the same episode of Pat Novak with Lurene Tuttle. This somehow escaped me, as distinct as Baer's voice is. There is a veritable web of these coincidences, as I was reminded upon surfing around Google and Wikipedia and finding that Baer appeared in "Three's Company," which of course co-starred Don Knotts. He also was a recurring performer in "Adventures In Odyssey," a Focus On The Family radio production, alongside his old TAGS colleague, Hal Smith. And the list goes on and on. Make an interesting book, wouldn't it?

I have loved Old Time Radio for many years and go through spells of listening to various programs, especially comedies like "Gildersleeve."  It is interesting to learn of connections with TAGS.
