Hi, everyone!
First of all, I want to add my sincere condolences on the passing of a great man, actor & American. I have a father-in-law, Art Fettig, who lives in Hillsborough, NC and for quite a number of years has been mistaken for Andy Griffith. This has been a humbling experience for him and he is very proud that people think he is Andy. He makes sure to tell them right away that he is not Andy and many times shows them his driver's license to prove it. Most always this fails to convince them and they persist for a picture with him and an autograph (he always signs his own name). Being an active senior citizen at the young age of 83, as well as an accomplished speaker, writer, songwriter, etc., he thought that it might be fun to have an "Almost Andy" alter ego. This has been successful beyond his wildest dreams. He has been invited to the Mayberry Days Parade as "Almost Andy" and has been invited to speak as him too. I think that he is a terrific guy and wanted to share this with all of you who love Andy Griffith. If you want to check his site out, Google Art Fettig. Thanks for your time, Robb. trexler, San Diego
