"My mistake Keevy, you're right.  I was mistaking that year for a Monkees episode (Monkees Paw) in 1968 that had Jack Fife in it. ~~ Jack Egbert was no prize, Jack Anderson was no ghost and Jack Fife was no Schwump."

"Bobby, when you said the episode was from 1968, I thought no way that could be Mr. Schwump, he looks too young but I checked on IMDB and they list the episode as airing in Oct. of '63. Even so,  I still think that would make this guy too…"

"Here's one from "Odd Facts Known by Few."  That same episode also had an actor named Jack Fife.  His birth name was Warren John Fife (1923-1975.)  I found a picture of him and he's not the Schwumpster."

Another Possible Schwump Sighting?

Hello neighbors! This photo was recently posted on another TAGS page I frequent by a member watching an episode of 'Perry Mason' titled, 'The Case Of the Drowsy Mosquito.' I have to say the man on the right certainty resembles Mr. Schwump. As usual, the character played a wallflower and didn't speak so no screen credit was given. He appears to be wearing a toupee as well. I couldn't find the episode on YouTube to scrutinize it further. What are your thoughts?…See More

What is your favorite episode of The Andy Griffith Show?
Family Visit
Can you share a short bio with us so that we can get to know you better?
Been a major TAGS fan as long as I can remember. I spent a month every summer with relatives in western NC and experienced the Mayberry lifestyle first hand. Have a huge TAGS collection and went to the first 10 Mayberry Days in Mt. Airy where I placed 3rd in the trivia contest one year. My idea of a fun Saturday night is having my young granddaughter, Avery Grace, sleep over and watching TAGS and Leave It To Beaver dvds with her all night long.
What sort of hobbies or interests do you have?
I collect old metal lunch boxes and thermoses and at last count have 220 in my collection. Also collect TAGS and Andy Griffith items of all sorts. My prize piece is an unused, ham slice bag from when Andy Griffith had his food company back in the early 70's.

Sounds good to me. Since I left Bobby Fleet, I have just been playing weddings and openings of feed stores.
I sure would like to start making it again!

Hiya Keevy,

That photo you have of Don Knotts (and Dummy) is amazing! He looks ridiculously young there.

Hey Keevy..it's feels funny calling you Keevy instead of "Al Becker"....even though neither one is your real name!  I just always could picture you as Al Becker...and you all KNOW Al Becker! haha  Anyhow, it's real good to see you here after not seeing you for quite some time.  Are you going to MD's this year?  I missed last year for the first time since I started going my first year.  Health issues.  And I'm still being plagued with health problems so I don't know if I'll make it this year or not.  It's so good to know there are people in the world who love Andy and the gang as much as you do.  I love that bond among us all.  I feel like we're sort of one big family.  I'll try to learn the ropes here and start coming in to chat if I can.  Do you come in here very often?  Love to talk to you again!
