Watching Mayberry RFD on Blu-ray

I finally ordered Mayberry RFD, season 1, on DVD, from Amazon.  My expectation was that the quality was going to drop off a cliff after the end of TAGS. I've been pleasantly surprised with the show. It uses the same music as TAGS, has kept the same overall Mayberry feel, and I've been surprised with how often Andy appears. The episodes aren't on par with black and white TAGS, but the overall quality is good. I was reminded, by looking up info online, that the show had good ratings during its run…See More

A Fresh Perspective of TAGS

It's been a couple of years since I've watched much TAGS and recently opened the 50th Anniversary set and, after watching "Return", decided to watch "Goober and the Art of Love".  I laughed out loud 3 or 4 times!  I've never done that before with that episode.  Suddenly, it's one of the funniest episodes of the series to me.  I guess with life changes comes different perspectives on everything.  It's great to be able to go away for a while and come back to the series and enjoy it with a new…See More

Hi Scott, happy to have you here on this site. I just joined last night. This is really cool to be able to talk about our beloved show with so many other fans. My husband calls me an Andy Griffith nut!! Ok I agree. Welcome to you and yours.

Hey Scott I have been to Texas twice and there is just one word to describe it.  BIG.

I ran over an armadillo or a legadillo or some other such creatchture.  It would have made a good pie for the Darlings.

Hey Scott,

Yes, it's kind'a like Facebook but it's only for Mayberry fans.  The focus of the entire site is The Andy Griffith Show.  There are lots of places where folks can talk about other stuff so we'll focus on Mayberry here and have fun with that.

You said you images are showing up "blurry"...I think that has to do with the original image size being smaller than the size used for profile images here on this site.

Hey, Allan!  Not sure what this is. I'm guessing it's a social network, like FB. Is it a stand-alone, solely for Mayberry folk, or is it part of a larger network?

Hey Scott!  Welcome to the iMayberry Community.   I hope to grow this place into something really special.  You never know how things will go but I'm hopeful that this will work out and result in a real community feeling.
