In Goober's Contest Floyd is seen driving a car and we can tell that is a stunt double but later then at 14:20 in the episode, Floyd is seen through the window and before he stands up you see how the stunt doubles face is longer and thinner than Floyd's and then he stands up. Do you guys know of any other episodes where there are stunt doubles for the actors?
Interesting! Gotta check that out. Thanx for the 411, Joe!
There is also another case of a stand-in for Floyd, although not a "stunt" double. I can't recall the episode, but Andy and Opie are walking past the barber shop and we see "Floyd" cutting someone's hair with his back to the window. Just as Andy and Opie get past the window, "Floyd" turns his head and you can see it's not Howard McNear.
There’s a few more folks! Can you name them?
Wow, nice find Dave Cline!!! I never noticed that before, but clearly that was not the real Barney on that bike. The jaw line is not a true Fife type!
When Alan Melvin gets tossed around by Mr Izamoto, Barney’s judo instructor, that was in episode Barney’s Uniform.
After more head scratchin I came with Goober being tossed around by Wyat Earps nephew in a color episode, they did a good with that, you can barely tell, but it had to be a double. And I think there mght be one with Barney riding a horse when
Charlene Darlin tries to divorce Dudd Wash and uses a lot f mountain folklore witchery and Barn was a black rider on a white hors. Gonna have t go check that one. sorry for the wierd spacing, I’ on my iphone.
The Goober scene with Clarence is definitely a stunt double - I have slowed this down and paused it and clearly it is a double.
The stunt double in Aunt Bee Learns to Drive was probably the best!
