Mystery Car

In two episodes there's an old Ford car, dull and unpolished, looks like a 1951. In a Malcolm Merriweather show, he rides up on his bike and the car is parked in Andy's driveway. In another, Barney…Continue

Yes, trivia and inconsistencies...TriviaThis is the only episode of TAGS where all three Howard men appear: Rance, Ron and Clint.Mayberry is thought to be based on Griffith's hometown of Mount Airy, NC. Fort Knox plays a central role in this episode, and the granite used to construct Fort Knox came from a quarry in Mount Airy. The seven million dollars that the truck is carrying is equivalent to $56,365,200 in 2017.In…See More

The Mail Slot

This has come up before. Seems in almost every episode the mail slot is there in the door. I have tried to keep track, and in at least one show, the handyman, the slot is gone, and George, the mailman walks in and hands the mail to Andy. In another show, I believe, Barney goes to the post office to get the mail. Simply another inconsistency. In the interest of our collective mental health, it may be best if we just stop following minutia. Or is it all too much fun?See More
