Hello folkes, Something has been bothering me for a couple of weeks now. Nothing real serious,
it aint them ringin doorbells, or the vercitus in my shoulder.
It's just that I got this scene stuck in my head when somebody asks Floyd if he wants a cup of coffee
and he replies politley saying "no thanks" and he says that he's already had enough but then he likes to
have another cup around "mid-morning"
"I like that mid-morning cup of coffee."
I just can't find the episode that it's in. I though it was The Rehabilitation of Otis, but it's not there. Real
close, but not there.
I was hoping maybe somebody here would know what episode it's from.

That quote, "I like that mid-morning cup of coffee," comes from The Andy Griffith Show episode "Otis Sues the County," Season 5, Episode 15.
ANDY: Now, when you came in, Barney was in the back room and Otis was still in his cell, right?
FLOYD: That's correct, yes. Barney asked me if I wanted a cup of coffee and I said, "no."
FLOYD: I'd had a cup at breakfast, see, and as a general rule, I don't have another cup until, oh, say....
FLOYD: I... I like that midmorning cup of coffee, don't you?

That was it! Thanks a lot. You cleared up the whole thing. I was thinking it was when Floyd came into the courthouse as Barny was in the back room getting coffee for Otis after he yelled at him and said that he was "nothing but a prisoner." and they both got sad and Barney went to get him coffee. Floyd can then be heard coming in but not seen and we find him sitting next to the rifle rack going over his haircut schedule. I often thought that was because maybe Howard McNear had trouble walking at that time. But anyway, after they learn of the law suit Andy is going over it with FLoyd in the barber shop and that's when he says the line about the coffee. I kept thinking it was the scene in the courthouse and that maybe it was edited out on my DVD version. But thanks for pointing that out.
