I was so sorry to learn of Goober's passing. I read his obituary which brought a smile to my face.
George did so much in his life outside of Mayberry to help people, much of it I didn't know of before reading his epilog.
The phrase "I Told You I Was Sick" up for inclusion on his tombstone would have been so appropriate. I think my most favorite episode starring Goober was when Andy had to go out of town for a conference and he needed someone to be at the courthouse. "I'm better than nobody aren't I" sticks in my head to this day. Cha-wee, Cha-wee, Cha-wee Goober. You will be missed !
