Hi FolksAs you know by now I'm doing a series of discussions called Mayberry Confidential. What does that mean you say?. Well I came up with the idea after reading several newsstories online about several of the main characters as well as the town itself. This time we will examine Aunt Bee RETIRES. From what I've read about her Bee did retire for good after the second season of R.F.D in 1970.In 1972 she relocated to Siler City NC.Also what is very well known is her combustible and sometimes unpredictable relationship with co-star Andy Griffith. According to Griffith in 1989 just before she died she called Andy and apologized for being "difficult" on the set. Now feel free to add to the info that I have written here. Reply.
