Mayberry Man movie Kickstarter has begun

Mayberry Man movie Kickstarter has begun this here day and I NEED your help to get to be in the movie!

3821582852?profile=RESIZE_710xI will be in the movie, if it gets made. That's right,'re friendly Floyd tribute artist. In the Mayberry Man movie I will be playing a character named "Allan", a Floyd the Barber tribute artist, so I think I can pull off the role but we need YOUR help to get the movie funded/made so you can see how great my acting skills are....or how bad. :)

It's time to donate to the cause, if you plan to, because getting off to a fast start will help a LOT by triggering Kickstarter's algorithm to help spread the word. It doesn't matter the donation amount ($1, $5, $20, etc). They're trying to get a large number of folks to donate right off the bat so your contribution will help no matter how small.

If you're interested, please click below and help make the movie happen. You can also get rewards for yourself based on your donation level so I hope you'll help out.

I know this sounds like a advertisement but I'm just hoping they can raise enough to make the movie because we can NEVER have too much Mayberry in this world.

Thanks for listening...err...reading.

  • The Kickstarter Campaign is funded! Get your contribution in so you can be in the credits!

  • Hey to everyone here at the imayberrycommunity! We had a great turnout at the Danville, Indiana Kickstarter launch Party help keep the momentum going by clicking on Allan’s Kickstarter link above and making a donation. (Hopefully more than 3 cents) We all want to see Allan on the BIG screen right!

    • Thanks Jeff!

I wish I could have been at one of the events (Danville or Mt. Airy).  Both are a little too far for me to be able to make the trip.

I don't care if folks use my link or just go to and then give.....I just hope folks will make the movie happen.

It looks like we'll be getting the documentrary "The Mayberry Effect" in the next few months. SO, if we can get Mayberry Man off the ground...all us Mayberry fans will have 2 Mayberry related movies to enjoy only about a year apart!   Wow!  60 years later and Mayberry is STILL entertaining us!

  • UPDATE: 17 Jan 2020

Launch parties in three cities propel crowdfunded Mayberry project to nearly a quarter of total funding within 24 hours of launching.

Los Angeles (January 16, 2020) — The producers of the new Mayberry Man movie hosted public launch parties in three cities across the U.S. to announce the beginning of their crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for a new movie that pays tribute to The Andy Griffith Show.

“We were hoping to reach 20% of our target within the first 48 hours, so we are thrilled with the response so far,” explained Producer Cort Howell. “Such a fast start tells us that Mayberry fans are eager to participate and want to see this project succeed.”

In Andy Griffith’s hometown of Mount Airy, North Carolina, fans packed The Loaded Goat Sports Pub & Grill to capacity. (The restaurant is aptly named after a famous episode of The Andy Griffith Show in which a goat eats a stick of dynamite.) The evening included live music by George Smith Band and personal appearances by Mayberry tribute artists Ronnie Felker as “Barney Fife” and Bo Pierce as “Briscoe Darling.”

In Danville, Indiana, home of the Mayberry in the Midwest festival, it was standing room only at Mayberry Café where Howell welcomed fans who traveled from as far away as Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan to attend the special event.

In Burbank, Calif., Writer-Director Stark Howell and Co-Producer Gregory Schell hosted Mayberry celebrities in a fan-friendly gathering that included actors/entertainers Ronnie Schell, Karen Knotts (daughter of Don Knotts), Jackie Joseph, Leroy McNees, Chris Showerman, and Dink O’Neal.

“The celebrities enjoyed mingling with all the fans,” says Stark Howell. “It’s a lot like our partnership with supporters of Mayberry Man. We enjoy including the fans in the process.”

When fans pledge their support for the project on, they can claim from a wide range of rewards including the opportunity to get their name in the credits, a DVD of the movie, autographed Mayberry Man merchandise, passes to a red carpet premiere, or they can even be in the movie.

Fundraising will continue on Kickstarter through February, 29, 2020.

Keeping the Mayberry spirit alive through this original feature-length comedy!
  • Help defy the mafia! Give 10 bucks and get your name in the credits!

    • Yeah...if you give get other "rewards."  It all just depends on what a feller might want.  I'd at least want to do a "reward" that results in me getting a copy of the movie to watch.
