Fantasy and sci-fi author Ray Bradbury has died at age 91.
Mr. Bradbury has no ties to TAGS, but I thought you might enjoy the attached photo.
Ray was a huge fan of Laurel & Hardy, and an active member of The Sons of the Desert (the L&H Appreciation Society). Specifically, Ray was a member of the Way Out West Tent [chapter] of Burbank/Universal City CA.
Naturally, owing to its unique location, over the decades, the Way Out West Tent's membership has included many celebrities from the Hollywood area, especially many who worked at the Hal Roach Studios with Laurel & Hardy, Our Gang, Charley Chase, etc.
The attached photo features the celebrity guests at the Tent's October 2001 banquet. Ray Bradbury is front and center, greeting the camera. Two over from Ray Bradbury, seated far right, is his friend TAGS' Margaret Kerry (Bess Muggins, Helen Scobey)... as a child 1935-1936, Margaret was one of the 'Our Gang' rascals.
