Tech Question

I see pictures on here that appear to be extracted from the DVD of the episode.  My question is; Is there a way to extract a short "snippet" video of a portion of a DVD episode?  That is, without having some type of special software.

Shorty

  • I have a question.  In the past, I’ve posted pictures by storing screenshots in my Photos, then adding them here by clicking the photo icon above the reply box.  Since we went to the updated community format, I can no longer access my Photos.  Has anyone else noticed this?  Does anyone know of another relatively simple way to post pictures?

    • When I click on the photo icon, I have a popup show as below. Then I browse for the photo. Perhaps your computer is not allowing the popup? If so, you should be able to find a way to allow popups from this site.

      • I’m gonna try again...thanks!

  • The pics are most likely from some online source. You use some sort of screen shot program. Greenshot is a very nice free program.

  • I use Bandicam.  It was a one time purchase I bought a few years ago.  About 35 bucks. You can record anything that happens on the computer either video or screen capture. Just assign a key to start and stop recording.  You should be able to make a snipet with it.  I used to use Fraps but it won’t work with windows10.
