I guess we all have fond memories of the Andy Griffith show and the depiction of the easy going small town lifestyle in a simpler time. And, the comical antics of Barny, Gomer and others in the cast are still remembered by many today. I'm still watching reruns. Barney and Andy really settled into their roles by 1962, and I believe the 4 years from '62 through '65 were the best years for the show. The casting for the show couldn't have been better, with the exception of the guy who played Warren, Barney's relacement - he was more annoying than funny, and the replacement series Mayberry RFD was a total flop. I think the Andy Griffith show still remains my choice for the all time best comical TV series.
