In this hilarious episode, the catalyst for the men believing that Wilbur Finch is a talent scout for Manhatten Showtime is the fact that "television is very important to him." However, nowhere in the episode that I can see do we ever find out the actual reason behind his urgency to find a tv. Any thoughts?

I just assumed he liked to watch tv, given he was probably from a place where most people watched tv.
He really wanted to watch "The Andy Griffith Show" because he must have been Addicted to it!
Boy, he was some kind of a nut!!
